Home is where the heart is. So, you want to make sure that your home is an apt representation of your personality, as well as offering you a comfortable living space to retreat to after a long day at work or an evening out socialising. Here are a few steps that you can take to achieve this!

Leave a Few Personal Belongings Out

Minimalism is in right now. Minimalism focuses on reducing the amount of mess and clutter in your home by investing in fewer consumer goods, and choosing decorative pieces carefully. While this sounds brilliant on paper and can look great in people’s Instagram posts and in the pages of glossy magazines, it can be relatively difficult to maintain in real life. After all, you have to remember that you are going to actually live in your home, and very few people can live a comfortable lifestyle with one or two belongings. This means that increasing numbers of us are coming to a middle ground by investing in clever storage solutions that mean we can access a variety of personal items if we wish, but they aren’t on view to visitors for the majority of the time. If you opt for this technique, you might want to consider leaving one or two personal belongings out at any given time. These items can reflect your personality and give others an insight into your personal interests. Consider leaving a copy of your favourite book on a coffee table or your bedside table. Create a display of potted plants across one of your window ledges if you enjoy being at one with nature. These small touches add a whole lot of personality to an otherwise minimal space.

Frame Photographs

Nowadays, we tend to take and keep most of our photographs in a digital format. We upload seemingly endless numbers of pictures to social media sites and exchange them with one another through messages and emails. But it’s always a good idea to have a few of your favourite snaps professionally printed out and framed. This means that you can see your favourite faces and pets as you walk around your home. It also gives visitors a little insight into your social circles, places you have visited, and what you enjoy doing. Browse the market for different types of frames - there’s bound to be something that fits in well with your interior design out there!

Be Experimental With Your Colour Scheme

The majority of us stick to a relatively neutral colour scheme. This makes sure that our property isn’t all too imposing. However, you should remember that you can incorporate touches of your favourite colours into more subtle parts of your home. Have a bright set of cushions, some bright appliances, or some bright curtains to brighten the place up.

These are just a few different ways that you can add a touch of your personality to your interior design. Embrace them and incorporate them into your own home. After all, who wants to live in a carbon copy property?

  1. The next time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to learn, however I really thought youd have one thing interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you may repair when you werent too busy looking for attention. https://www.summerhaus.com.sg/
