The Beauty Event With House of Fraser

A few weeks back I attended The Beauty Event with House of Fraser at Intu Metrocentre alongside other bloggers and VIPs. I love attending events at the Metrocentre as they are always such fun so I knew I was in for a treat! On arrival I was shown to my seat which had the most delightful little pink macaroons placed upon them. I was also lucky enough to be given a small bottle of prosecco with a cute straw to enjoy during the event.

The lovely Jane Cunningham of the infamous  British Beauty Blogger hosted a live Q&A session and offered all the advice you need to start your own successful beauty blog.

I honestly only got into make-up the in the last few years, before that I wore very basic make-up. I first put lipstick on for the first time 3 years ago and now there's no stopping me. I love a bit of colour on my lips!

I found the talk very inspirational and encouraging. I would love to use my blog as a way to share my new found love of beauty products. Even more so that I'm now classed as an older blogger being over 30 (when did that happen!).

After the Q&A Urban Decay and Bobbi Brown experts took to the stage giving us a demonstration. Each expert then showcased their wares using various make-up techniques and all the latest trends. Above is the finished makeover result for the Urban Decay demonstration of smokey eyes.

I was particularly interested in what Urban Decay had to offer. I was instantly drawn towards their vibrant colours and cruelty fee vegan cosmetics. I absolutely loved what products were available to buy. The above set of brushes are made from recycled bottles and completely vegan.

Vegan, with an edge and completely on trend, well done Urban Decay I will be defiantly back for more!

  2. Amazing event! Thanks for sharing these photographs. I have to organize a business event and looking for a professional event space for it. Have never organized a corporate event before so quite nervous about it.

  3. Such a great event! Thanks for sharing it with us! It's great to meet people with the same interests and the same profession as you are. I think that any master classes, exhibitions, lectures, etc. are the best way to improve you professional skills and knowledge. I'm sure you'll agree with me that we are happy when we do what we enjoy, what we like, what we love, what we are good at :) Keep posting, please!
