Amble Puffin Festival

I love puffins the 'clown of the sea', they are instantly recognisable with their colourful bill and clown-like eye markings.  My Mr Puffin design is inspired from my photographs and sketches I made on the beautiful and wildly rugged Northumberland coast just a few miles from my home. The week beginning 25th May was Amble Puffin Festival  a week long celebration of everything that is puffin so I jumped at the chance to get involved and signed up to be a stallholder. I love Amble and regularly frequent this delightful coastal town so couldn't wait to set up my stall and meet lots of lovely people. Being by the coast however it was a little windy but my friend gave me her marquee for the two days to help keep me protected. It did the job nicely however one large sneaky gust of wind almost took off with the marquee leaving me and my products behind!

I was lucky enough to meet some awesome stall holders who made my experience even more fun.

Jina Gelder Illustration a wildlife artist from Newcastle upon Tyne.

And Sarah Gee Fine Art with her adorable dog Poppy.

Alongside the art and craft stalls were a number of games, fairground rides and activities to take part in.

I came away with a selection of ale From The Notebook and it was a much needed reward for a busy few days.

And I couldn't resist the scrummy delights of Fudge Town after all it would have been rude not to.

I had a truly fabulous time at the festival and new Mr Puffin cards, pocket mirrors, tote bags and art prints went down a treat!

Get yourself to Amble Puffin Festival next year and enjoy some puffin related fun and frolics!
